Vitamin Injections

Six vitamin injections, given intramuscularly in a short appointment at the Bristol clinic.

What the appointment involves

  1. Choose your time

    Select a date and time above, and the injection you are interested in is confirmed at the appointment.

  2. A brief consultation

    Your medical history, current medications and what you are hoping for are reviewed to check the injection is appropriate for you.

  3. The injection

    The vitamin is given into a large muscle using sterile, single-use equipment. The injection itself takes under a minute.

  4. A few minutes afterwards

    You may be asked to stay in the clinic briefly before you go, if that is appropriate for what you have had.

Aftercare

Normal activities can be resumed immediately.

  • Keep the injection site clean
  • Avoid rubbing or massaging the area for 24 hours
  • Drink plenty of water and keep eating a balanced diet
  • Mild tenderness or redness at the site is normal and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours

You are given written aftercare before you leave, specific to the treatment you had. Follow that in preference to anything on this page.

Questions

How long does it take?

Fifteen minutes for most injections, and twenty for glutathione. That includes the brief consultation; the injection itself takes under a minute.

What should I bring?

A list of any medication you take, and something with sleeves that move easily. Tell the clinic if your health has changed since you booked.

Are there any side effects?

Some clients notice mild tenderness or redness where the injection was given. That is normal and usually settles within a day or two. Anything rarer is explained to you before treatment.

Is there anyone it is not suitable for?

An injection may not be appropriate if you have a known allergy to anything in it, an active infection at the injection site, or are currently unwell. Some medical conditions and medications also make treatment unsuitable, which is what the consultation is for.
