Treatments

Microneedling

Microneedling with Korean skin boosters, and PRP using your own plasma, for the face, neck, décolleté, hands and scalp.

What the appointment involves

  1. Choose your time

Select a date and time above. The treatment and the area are confirmed with the practitioner at the consultation.

  2. Consultation and preparation

Your skin is assessed and your goals discussed. The area is double cleansed and a professional numbing cream applied where appropriate.

  3. Microneedling

A medical-grade pen creates controlled micro-channels in the skin while your chosen serum is worked through them, using a sterile single-use cartridge.

  4. Recovery and aftercare

A soothing serum and calming mask are applied, and you leave with aftercare written for the area treated.

Aftercare

Mild redness for 24 to 48 hours is normal, with some tightness and light flaking as the skin heals. PRP has its own, stricter aftercare, which is given to you at the appointment.

  • No makeup for 24 hours
  • Wear SPF 50 every day and avoid direct sun
  • No swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas or steam rooms for 48 hours
  • No strenuous exercise for 48 hours
  • No retinol, exfoliating acids or harsh skincare for 5 to 7 days
  • Keep the area clean and avoid touching your face unnecessarily
  • Drink plenty of water and let any flaking shed on its own

You are given written aftercare before you leave, specific to the treatment you had. Follow that in preference to anything on this page.

Questions

Does microneedling hurt?

A professional numbing cream is applied before treatment where appropriate. Most clients describe it as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful, and tell the practitioner if at any point it is not.

How many treatments will I need?

Many clients see a difference after one session, but a course of three to six is usually recommended for acne scarring, pigmentation and ageing. A course of three is priced above; anything longer is agreed at the clinic.

When will I see results?

Skin often looks brighter and better hydrated within a few days. Collagen production continues over the following weeks, with further change developing over three to six months.

Is there any downtime?

Very little. Expect mild redness, similar to sunburn, for 24 to 48 hours, with some dryness or flaking as the skin heals. Most people go back to normal the same day, with makeup left off for 24 hours.

Is there anyone it is not suitable for?

Microneedling may not be suitable if you have active acne, a skin infection, cold sores, open wounds, recent Roaccutane use, a blood clotting disorder or a history of keloid scarring, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. PRP involves taking a small sample of your blood, so it carries its own checks.

Can I change or cancel my time?
